Mashable’s “What’s the Deal?”

Leading up to Black Friday 2021, I scripted and appeared in a series of videos showcasing some of the hottest products of the season in fun ways. I participated in a battle of robot vacuums, made holiday cards with the Polaroid Go camera, and hosted a spa night with the Gravity robe.

5 Black Friday shopping tips

I hosted this video sharing tips for shopping Black Friday sales. It ran on Mashable’s site, YouTube channel, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Twitter, and accompanied related Black Friday articles and deals posts.

Mashable’s “Best Gifts For Everyone”

I co-hosted a shoppable gift guide livestream in which my colleague and I counted down our top 10 picks for holiday gifts in 2022 based on our own research and hands-on testing. This video was partially scripted, but mostly ad-libbed. The livestream received more than 90,000 views.

The best Black Friday Apple deals

In this video, I provided insight into what kind of Apple deals to expect during Black Friday 2020. I talk about what items I predicted would be on sale, the types of discounts, and the best retailers to shop.

The top items of Black Friday 2020

This is a video adaptation of an article I wrote where I talk about the hot items we predicted people would be (virtually) fighting over during Black Friday 2020.

How to make French fries in an air fryer

I wrote the script and starred in this instructional video. Mashable Shopping frequently covers air fryers, so this video was meant to be complementary to the shoppable content.

Special Projects

Mashable’s Gift Lab is an interactive gift guide in which users can select filters from three dropdown menus to yield gifting suggestions based on who they’re shopping for, what they’re interested in, and what the budget is. For this project, I came up with the filters, sourced all of the products, and assigned products to filters based on my shopping expertise. I wrote copy for all 120+ products included and created affiliate commerce links for them.
